The One Direction star welcomed son Sydney Rain with ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth into the world on Friday. "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday... He is healthy and pretty amazing... I'm very happy!!" Louis wrote in a post on Saturday the 23 of January . He then added, "Daddy, daddy cool" along with smiley face emojis.

Shortly afterwards #SydneyRain began to trend on Twiter but the hashtag had many users fearing that a rainstorm was about to hit the Australian city of Sydney.

The One Direction heartthrob broke hearts around the world last year when it was revealed he was to become a father.

"Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother," a mutual friend told People.Earlier the news was apparently confirmed by Briana Jungwirth's grandmother in an Instragram post

In a lengthy post, Marianna Case, wrote: "Louis just let Ur heart dance. U now have another you. A gift that will want to be just like YOU. "One Direction fans took to twitter in their droves with the hashtag #WelcomeBabyTomlinson
